Austin Forkner Luckless in Massachusetts Mudder

Triumph Factory Racing’s Austin Forkner faced the toughest test of the 2025 AMA Supercross season so far as relentless rain transformed Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium into a battleground of survival. Lining up as the team’s sole representative in the 250SX East class, Forkner took on the treacherous conditions at the sixth stop of the series, where adaptability, grit, and a touch of luck, proved decisive.
The TF 250-X star encountered the worst of the weather during timed qualification and ended 35th in the overall 250SX classification, despite setting the 14th-fastest time in his individual session. Forkner rebounded with a strong start in his heat race, only for a minor mistake to be compounded when another rider collided with him and forced him to the back of the field. Pushing hard in the horrendous conditions, he fought his way back to 12th, narrowly missing out on a transfer to the main event.
Forkner used the power in his TF 250-X to storm through the deep mud en route to a clear holeshot in the last chance qualifier. However, a handful of mistakes, caused by the rapidly deteriorating track conditions, left him in fifth place at the chequered flag, just one spot away from a position in the main event.
Such treacherous conditions are the great equalizer and, sadly, luck was not on Forkner's side. He now lies 12th in the 250SX East standings after missing Foxborough's main event.
The Triumph Factory Racing team will hope for pleasant conditions at the next round of the season in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 12. Lincoln Financial Field is set to host the second of three 250SX East/West Showdowns; Jordon Smith will join Austin Forkner in competition.

"We knew it was going to be a mudder. It was wet all day! The biggest positive to take away from tonight is that my starts were finally good. I started third in the heat race; I tipped over in a turn and then someone ran into me and got their bike stuck on top of mine. I then holeshot the LCQ – the track was just destroyed. I made a couple of mistakes and ended fifth. It is a huge bummer, but my starts were better today. This was all about survival and I made too many mistakes in the LCQ – that is on me."
Jeremy Coker – General Manager, Triumph Racing America
"Well, unfortunately, the night was cut short with not making the main event. The track conditions were very challenging today to say the least, but I am proud of the team for keeping the bike running well all day in the extreme conditions. The team will continue to push and get the best possible results for Austin."
